Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients:
500g brussel sprouts
100g smoked bacon lardons
SuperValu Supreme Extra Virgin Olive Oil
SuperValu Cooks' Ingredients Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper
Method:
Bring a saucepan of boiling salted water to the boil, while the water is coming to the boil, cut the brussel sprouts in half, then add to the water for just 3 minutes (don’t be tempted to leave them in there for longer!). Place a frying pan over a high heat and pour in a dollop of olive oil, leave for 1 minute to get hot and then tip in the smoked bacon lardons. Fry the bacon until it is nice and crispy, add the drain brussel sprouts to the frying pan and cook for a further minute – serve immediately.
TIP:
If you can’t get your hands on lardons, then you can use streaky bacon cut up into small pieces.
