Mix the minced beef, fresh basil and egg in a large bowl and season
with salt and pepper.
Roll a teaspoon of the mince into a ball dust in the flour and put to one side. Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Place a frying pan over a medium heat and add some olive oil, gently sauté the onions and chilli in the olive oil until soft. Then add the meatballs and gently fry until golden brown. Follow with the chopped tinned tomatoes. Season to taste and cook for a further few minutes. In the meantime, cook the pasta in boiling, salted water. Drain and add to the sauce. Mix well and serve with freshly grated parmesan.
