Nutmeg - flavoured Swede & Carrot Mash

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 500g SuperValu carrots, cut into chunks
  • 500g SuperValu swede, cut into chunks
  • 100ml SuperValu fresh cream
  • SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

To Cook:

  1. Place the carrots and swede in a large saucepan of salted water. Bring to the boil, then cover and simmer briskly for 25 minutes until soft and then drain and return to the saucepan.
  2. Mash the vegetables until you have a smooth  consistency.
  3. Warm the cream gently and pour over the  vegetables, followed by the nutmeg and season with salt and pepper.
