Summer Salad Dressing

Bring any green salad alive with these simple yet tasty dressings

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Honey and Mustard Salad Dressing:

  • 1 tsp SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients Wholegrain Mustard
  • 1 tsp SuperValu Honey
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients Balsamic Vinegar
  • 6 tbsp SuperValu Supreme Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper

Method:
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Thyme and Garlic Dressing:

  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard, or SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients
  • Wholegrain mustard
  • 6 tbsp SuperValu Supreme Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper

Method:
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Clodagh’s Top Tip:

  • In the ‘Honey and Mustard’ dressing, use a Dijon mustard for a creamy silky finish
  • Basil is a great substitute for thyme in the ‘Lemon and Thyme’ dressing
  • Both dressings will keep in a fridge for about 2 weeks, make sure to shake them before you serve them
  • These make a great present for when you are visiting friends
