Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 700g SuperValu carrots, sliced into fingers
- 350ml chicken stock or water
- 1 tsp SuperValu light golden brown sugar
- 50g SuperValu butter
- 1 tbsp SuperValu fresh thyme, finely chopped (optional) to garnish
- SuperValu Cooks’ Ingredients salt and freshly ground black pepper
To Cook:
- 1 Place the carrots in a saucepan with the hot stock (or water).
- Stir in the sugar, butter and season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 40 minutes, or until all the liquid has evaporated and you are left with the carrots in a buttery coating.
- Stir in the fresh thyme and serve.
